I have a v1.0 xbox. I'm trying to tsop. I've checked my solder points with microscope and all are fine. (1 point on top, 1 point on bottom, trace wire to be removed when complete)
When using bioschecker I get Modchip or Homebrew detected.
I threw in hexen 2017 and tried to flash the bios, but get a Bios Not Writable error. Up in the corner I see it says Kernal 4034 R6 (EvoX or EnigmahX).
Unless someone was an expert, this xbox was not opened before I opened it. So I don't see how someone could have isntalled a modchip. And I don't think there is any softmod that can change or erase bios without opening and connecting solder points.
Am I missing something???
[Solved] Bios Not Writable... MODCHIP or Homebrew detected

OK. I'm stupid
I went back a third time over my solder points and it worked!

Those TSOP points can be a booger sometimes. Glad you got it going.
