Hey everyone!
I have someone who is insisting on a certain build of xmugen, which requires a 16kb cluster size for F drive, so I have the max 120gb formatted F drive, and have to allocate the remainder of the 2TB drive he wants.
So I've realized over the years that xbpartitoner 1.1 has "the bug" that won't let it format partitions bigger than 1TB so usually i format 990~ GB per F and G, with xbpartitoner 1.0 and go back after with 1.1 and reformat. but in this case I am stuck formatting G at 990GB and "H" at 950~GB. Most dashboards don't even let me use this H drive, and at one point it even broke my softmod...
So is there anyway to format the G drive true 64kb cluster size with the entire rest of the space? e.g. no H drive and just a 1.6TB G drive?
Any true way to format over 1TB without splitting?

A 1024 GB partition IS using "true 64kB cluster size". For partitions over 1024 GB you need 128kB clusters, and the Xbox simply doesn't support that.

HEIMDALL!!! Where have you been you sly devil, you popped in and out in the beginning. Good to see you still around sir.
@Mikeosoft- Xmugen is alittle bitch like that. If you HAVE to put it on the xbox for someone you end up having to build the hard drive around it and it's kinda shitty how your stuck with the space like that.
What build are you trying to use?

Re: Any true way to format over 1TB without splitting?
Two possible solutions, create a 3rd partition called "I" using XbPartitioner. Use "F" as you small 16k cluster drive because it is always the partition that gives grief being the last partition to come on line. And second, use XbPartioner version 1.3. It is "supposed" to support 128k clusters. Both of these are work of IdotsFan how ever I have never personally had a need to try either. I'm pretty sure you will find a patch for XBMC to support up to 4 large partitions was introduced some time ago. I know IdotsFan had such a patch. As for the 128k clusters, this is an option using IdotsFan's modded and improved version of XbPt called 1.3.. This I can verify because as I've used XbPt 1.3, it is an option that comes up.

I don't really get it, if I have a 2TB HDD, how many partitions will I have? I had a 500GB HDD and I had only one big partition of around 450GB.

There is a great wiki page which describes, in great detail, the partition limitations. I'll post it if I find it, meanwhile, this slightly more brief wiki page give you most of the info: http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/wiki/Xbox_h ... eplacementAwesomeNurd wrote:I don't really get it, if I have a 2TB HDD, how many partitions will I have?
