Can I mod the power button to stay on?
I have an xbox in my car, it awesome. The car has an AC outlet and an entertainment setup that made it very easy to install. I'd like to have the system boot when I push the button that turns on the AC outlet. Currently I have to push that button and then the power on the xbox under a seat. I assume I can bridge some terminals..??

Yip put a 47uf 16vdc electrolitic capicator across the power button on the front and it will charge up when the power is applied to the xbox temporally shorting out the button as it charges causing the xbox to boot up. with this method every time the mains is applied the xbox will turn on.
The cool thing is that you can press the button to turn it off and on again aswell as long as the mains is not cycled in that case it will turn on again.
remember to check the polarity and some modchips require a long or short press to operate and you may need to use a smaller or larger capicator to suit.
