The other day when I turned my xbox on, there was no text visible, I rebooted and it was fine. Today I turned it on, and no text, and rebooting it isn't helping. still no text

Do you mean you can see the gui but there is no text? I had this problem once, many years ago... I have no idea what caused it but a fresh install sorted everthing out. It was back in the days when I filled the E drive up with emulators so could have possibly had something to do with corruption due to overloading the drive, thats purely speculative though as it really could have been anything.

debug log at pastebin.com (or xbmc.log.old in your case, from previous boot)
