Restore msdash?

Restore msdash?

I have a xbox 1.6 with unknown softmod. Probably a very old one, that was on it when I bought it.
Problem is, the msdash does not work. Is there any way to safely fix this?

I need it to switch te box to ntsc and select higher video modes.

Any help is welcome.

Will it boot an installer disc ?, AID has an option to install the MS dash files.

Never tried, I'll try.

Will the component cables work in PAL mode (in SD resolution)?
Or does it need NTSC to work?

HD AV Pack works in both regions.
In PAL resolution is 576i.
In NTSC resolutions are 480i/480p/720p/1080i (recommended ;) ).

HeXEn. Update your softmod, change to NTSC, set up for 720p.
