I think you can add a FTP source in the file manager on xbmc. I've not tried it but presumably that'd allow you to directly ftp things between consoles.

Hmmm, nice idea for cloning HDDs. Dan Dare would know for sure on this one. I can't see why not on account you can nominate an IP of both the donor and the receiver on FileZella. This may come in very handy if it does work.

Re: FTP xbox to xbox with filezilla ?
I don't think Filezilla allows for server-to-server transfers, that would be quite an advanced feature that I don't think it'll ever be implemented. You can do it yourself by opening two tabs and use local transfer as an intermediary (download to local from first, upload from the same local to second).
You might be able to do the same with less clicks by using Windows Explorer on your WIndows PC - open a window going to ftp://xbox1, copy and then paste into another Explorer window going to ftp://xbox2. But that'll still transfer first to your PC memory or Temporary Internet Files on disk, and then up into the second FTP resource (if Windows Explorer allows for that).
But, like asbo suggested you should be able to go to File Manager in one Xbox and create an FTP source pointing to the second, so that you can transfer files back and forth from XBMC4Xbox File Manager directly between the boxes. Might not be ideal as a file manager, but it saves you the local roundtrip thing.

@MrMajst3r
Very nice - for two FTP panels, might still transfer first to your PC, but it's handier alright.

Re: FTP xbox to xbox with filezilla ?
Earlier versions of xbmc did as well but its a clumsy process and the main reason i want this feature is i usually have 1 xbox being setup downstairs and want to transfer files from my main loungeroom xbox.sakamoto wrote:avalaunch has this feature available - connect both xbox'es with a network cable and launch avalaunch's file manager on both consoles

If you have access to TV, better solution is FTP manager built in UnleashX

Re: FTP xbox to xbox with filezilla ?
How I do it is all my data is put straight onto my 2TB USB HDD setup on my P.C.. I have FileZella on it with every machine on the network's IP and details set in FileZella FileManager so I just click on the machine's name and providing the machine is on. it connects and I FTP just what is required to that machine, ( Kids have no need for a lot of the data), so every time I receive new data, it is sent to the machine's that require it. If the P.C. isn't on, I just use XBMC's filemanager to transfer data. The network also allows any data on any other machine to be viewed or played from any other machine that is switched on. I know XBMC's file transfer isn't the best but you can boot a movie or music on a machine, hit the "X" button on the controller, then hit the white button, (controller), navigate down to "switch media" and select it and now your in XBMC's filemanager and create a copy list from another networked machine and start it. Now hit your "X" button again and your back watching your movie or listening to your music while the machine is downloading the files from another machine all in the background. Downloading from another machine uses very little RAM and doesn't seem to be an issue while watching a movie that isn't to hungry on RAM. Downloading uses about 1-3mb. Just in case you weren't aware I wrote this BKO and if you are, I'm sure there are others that aren't.

Re: FTP xbox to xbox with filezilla ?
Its not often i need to transfer from the xbox but since my 2nd pc hdd died all my backups are whats on the main xbox at least until i replace the hdd . If i watch a movie in another room i just transfer it to a 2gig USB drive and plug it into the console.
