changing x3lcd x3 front panel

It's my fisrt time here so if i do anything wrong please tell me!

I bought a xbox with chip x3 xecuter with a front panel with xlcd. Everything was wornking normaly at last month when my xlcd lose the birthines control.

I already tried change the brithines level on x3 menu and xbmc menu but doenst work. So i take the xlcd off and show it to my friend, he are a good person that work fixing eletronic things. The answer that he gave me was: "the only option is change the lcd for a new one".

I can see everything that is show in lcd but in places without light is impossible.

My question is: Can in chage the xlcd for another only? I know the pcb board is smaller on xlcd than in others 20x4 lcd on the market.

Anyone have a knowledge to help me?

it is usually not faulty it is because of not enough pressure on the pcb pressing on the lcd if you bend the metal shield hooks towards the pcb slightly it may start working.
