Timezone info lost after reboot?

Post by drunk »

Hello,

I have the latest XBMC4XBOX 3.2 loaded on a softmodded XBOX v1.1

For some reason it keeps reverting the timezone setting back to GMT -7 MDT every time I restart the xbox.
ie I set the timezone to GMT +8, and it stays that way for the duration of my session, but anytime I reboot, it's back to GMT -7 :?

Any other settings I change save ok, just not the timezone. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong please?

I keep my machines hooked up to the net and as a result, time is always correct. I'd of thought the time on a machine with no net connection would have held your set time for an hour or so. Maybe your time keeping cap is so bad it doesn't work at all.

Even with a bad clock cap, his console should still be keeping time as long as it stays connected to power, which it sounds like it probably is, and it also sounds like it's not losing time, but just resetting the time zone. Is the time zone stored in the EEPROM? My first inclination was that maybe this was a virtual EEPROM problem, but I have no idea if the time zone is stored on the EEPROM.
