Help connecting Xbox to internet using ethernet port on PC
So I have a newly modded Xbox, and I used the 5.12 SID installer to just install XBMC rather than installing the UnleashX dashboard. Now, I want to connect my Xbox to the internet using my desktop PC's (running Windows 10) ethernet port via sharing it with my wireless connection. I have a USB wireless internet adapter so the desktop isn't directly connected to a router. I know it was possible to do this with the Xbox 360, as I did it years ago. But, is this possible to do with the original Xbox and if so how do I do it? I have tried searching the web and various forums but I can find any helpful information. Help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What you need is a crossover cable. You can buy off the shelf or cut the ends off two ordinary ones and make one yourself Heath Robinson style

Thanks! I eventually got it to work. I don't know if I am using a crossover cable or not though. I'm just using the really long cable that came with either my original Xbox or my Xbox 360.hawsey wrote:Oh and welcome to the forum
