Xbox Music Mixer not woring on chipped Xboxes?

So I bought a copy of Xbox Music Mixer 99pence from a local store. The main reason I wanted it was to test an Xbox Microphone I have.
The disc looks in perfect condition, however it won't load on my Xecuter 3, v1.4 Xbox?
I tried a TSOP'd v1.0 with X2 bios, still wouldn't load?
But a softmodded v1.6 works just fine

I haven't any more working Xboxes to try anymore combinations, anyone else come across this before?

ill try it on one of mine i have it also let you know the outcome.

it may rely on the dash board files being present they are all up to scratch on the xboxes that did not work ?

I'm not sure if all the MS dashboard files are there, I don't use it that often but I will check.
If I boot the X3 disabled ie: long button press, red led on X3 switch bank, it still won't load Music Mixer?

You need music installed to the system, for the game/app to work.
(ie, you need to use the MSDash to copy music to the hdd)

The game/app is crap I thought it would be like Music or EJay was let down.

Ok, I tried to load some music onto my Xbox, that's when I discovered it won't read CD's? But I'll worry about that later

Then I had another idea , what if Music Mixer needs a locked HDD, I have an Xecuter 3 in my Xbox, so I thought I'll lock the 320gb HDD and try it. It's a modchip so it won't matter if it's locked or not, right? WRONG! It's now coming up with an error 6, HDD error acording to the -superfro screen that comes up.
If I put another unlocked 10gb HDD in the Xbox will boot just fine. I've tried loading from discs, Hexen, Slayers etc.., hot swapping, loading an original game (Splinter Cell), none work with the 320gb? Everything is fine with the unlocked 10gb? I can get to X3 config screen with 10gb installed, but not with the 320gb. All drives are IDE btw.
Does this mean that X3 modchip's need the HDD locked? Anyone got any ideas how I can get it booting again?

I have EEprom and file backups on my PC

you cant just pop in any locked hdd as the xbox wont be able to unlock it to boot hence error 6

how did you lock the 320 gig drive in x3 config live in the machine you are starting from?

you could try a mater password unlock ?

The 320gb is the one that was in the X3 Xbox. It was locked with UnleashX in the X3, when I re-booted got error 6? I thought modchips could read locked or unlocked discs?
I can only get to X3 live config if I use a different, unlocked HDD.
The problem is I cannot use a Master password, because I can't get the Xbox to boot from a CD or DVD to access any apps with the 320gb hooked up?

Yes! I've got the X3 320gb hdd unlocked, I used a PC boot able disc called HDAT2. I mentioned it in one of my previous posts about unlocking a hard drive from a BT vision box. I will start a new post about HDAT2 it has some nice hard drive tools on it
My dvd drive still won't read cd's though?
