Dear XBMC4XBOX,
Thank you for all of your previous help and keeping the dream alive. The Xbox is still bar far my favorite networking device in my house. The PS3 will never compare.
Anyway, I am curious if any of you have a suggestion for turning on and off a LCD by M$ remote. I am sure that it will take up two of my numbered buttens on the M$ remote. One for on and, another for off. My ignorant guess is that I would have to build into the keymap.xml a way to manipulate the guisettings.xml but, again this is my ignorant and probably way off guess. Any suggestions are Greatly Appreciated.
Thank you,
Dogfyter

I'm sure it would be possible, never stuffed with the .xml myself, but you may consider dimming or turning off the LCD's backlite rather than the display itself. it will have the same effect but I would think to be a better way.

Re: Keymapping & LCD Request
i dont think it will work with the unless you had a way of getting an output to your tv.
the smartxx v3 mod chip had an ir emitter you could use for that but i dont know if it was ever utilised.
if you were real keen you could build a device to plug into the lcp port or i2c bus and controll a relay to turn your tv on or off.
i have a special 5 way power board on my tv etc and it has a master socket and 4 slave sockets when the master device (in my case tv) turns on it allows power to the other sockets maybe you could use one of them?

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the responses. Xman I will try messing with the backlite but, I think I will still have the same problem. I think the backlite is manipulated on the guisettings.xml and not the kepmap.xml. And professor_johny, I don't think we are on the same page. I am referring to the LCD that is on the faceplate of my XBOX.
Again, all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
