Im having a stupid problem

I setup a xbox with xbmc i did this on a hidef tv i found one of my old 27inch trinitrons in my storage shed tried hooking it up to it with the component cables and when i boot up the Xbox the original Xbox load screen shows fine but when it loads into xbmc the picture get scrambled kinda like if you had the cables hooked up wrong but i know they are correct because the load screen looks fine.. i unchecked 1080i, 720p, and 480p and still have the same problem and help would be appreciated.

So what resolution are you asking it to display?

And what cables? Is it NTSC? Aannd... softmod? If its a softmod you might have a shadowed eeprom

It can't be anything else, a PAL XBOX does not offer those resolutions.

Okay, do you know that your telly supports 480i ?

What selections am I supposed to have under settings only thing listed is 480p 720p and 100 I should there be more then that

Those are the correct set of options for an NTSC configured box with a component cable connected.

Ok i have a regular standard definition with component cable hook ups,when i boot up the soft modded xbox Microsofts logo boots up fine with a perfect image, but when xbmc loads it go's all scrambled... is there a way to have xbmc load in 480i? i see no option for 480i
