XBMC4Xbox 3.5 - black screen

I just tried the eurasia build and the screen stays black after installation. So i tried the RC2 and the screen stays black. I can still hear the gui sounds when navigating around, just a black screen.
The default skin does not display at all. I have a 4:3 CRT and i already tried the both thumbsticks reset thing. Is there any fix for this?

Probably a problem with the the skin, possibly missing XPR texture file. You need to post a debug log to figure it out exactly, as in run it with a blank screen, see if you can access it through FTP to extract Q:\xbmc.log or boot back into RC2 and extract the file from wherever you have 3.5 installed.

You don't need to look that far out to find a good build, search the forums here for "unofficial builds".

PS: I separated and moved your post into the correct support forum - if everyone posted all their problems with a particular version into the announcement thread for that version, all we would have here on these forums would be 3-4 humorously long threads you'd be scrolling through all day to find some something useful.

Thanks. I dont have an ethernet cable so i do it all via a file-manager(frosty's rescue disk) and a CDrw. There are 4 skins inside the skins folder. And the xbmc fails with a fatal error if the confluence lite (skin) folder is not present in the skin folder on the xbox hd.
If any of the other 3 skins that are included in the 3.5 release are present on its own, it will say XBMC needs at least a 2.100 skin, fatal error.
If confluence lite is present the xbmc boots into a black screen as described above. I cant locate Q drive via file manager.
Is there any sure SD Skin that will work with the 3.5 release and a non HD tv?

720p and 480p are activated in the unleash-X menu

That's a bit surprising to hear these days, you'd save yourself a lot of hassle if you would get a cross-over cable and connect your Xbox through your PC and access the Internet, you could even install a new version of XBMC4Xbox directly from it, see the plugin program in my signature. I suggest you read the thread and you will find in there a link to a reliable source of builds, which you can download yourself and install the way you did the other one that is not working.

I tried a few other skins now including the confluence mod and xbox classic skins. Non of them load, it always says at least 2.100 skin required. Giving up on 3.5. It doesnt work for me.

So i went back to an old 2010 T3CH release (rev30587) and the same thing happens. The logo shows and then its a black screen. Could this be caused by any path issues or tempoary save files?
Games work fine.

The log on Q came up with an error. The skin could not be located.
