Internet connections problems. Beginner.

Post by rslocked »

Hi I just updated to the stable 3.3.3 and I was told that the Addons4Xbox Installer would add addons and well I don't have a clue on how to add an internet connection to my xbox. I know how to/ and can FTP to my xbox via crossover cable to my laptop. Would I need to actually connect the xbox to the router or could I possibly work it to where I can just use my laptop? I looked on the previous posts and didn't really find anything that helped me.

Connect it to your router - it's by far the easiest way.

You could configure your laptop to allow Internet connection sharing over your laptop wireless link, then plug your Xbox into your laptop, but I can't find a tutorial for that.

Heimdall Has it correct.
An alternative if you dont have the xbox where you have the router is to setup an client bridge between 2 routers. And in that way get internet to the xbox with no cables throught the house. Works great. If you have some old router laying around that would work, or even better if you by any chanfe have an old router that can run DD-WRT software.

Yes, your laptop can share WiFi through the ethernet adapter on your laptop. What OS is your laptop?
