Update to XBMC 3.2?

Hi all,

I'd like to be able to update to 3.2.

I have downloaded the zip file via torrent.
The tutorial to update to a new version takes no account of all your settings and addons you might have acquired., favourites etc.

When doing it via the XBOX there used to be a option to copy all your settings over. This appeared to work except for weather preferences.

Is there an easy way to do this.?

I do not want to just copy all userdata in case some file is no longer compatible with the new version, or is everything compatible and it is that easy?

Bit the bullet and copied over all the userdata.
