Iv been looking for a ps1 emulator for my xbox, which one is the best and runs the most smoothly in anyones experience?

Yeah coinops has a version of pcsxbox as well.
Good thing about the redux version released by madmab, is that you can use redump images (multiple bins).
The cdda code is much improved, so you can here the game's music tracks. The games can also be streamed from PC or other network device such as a NAS.

does anyone know how to see box art or even video in pscxbox it doesnt work for me

You've got to have the art and preview videos put into the proper folder (media folder) of the Emulator and they (I believe) have to match the name of the game exactly. Then dive into the settings to set the skin configuration that you like.
