I never could see the sense in having the disc visible when in my opinion, running a modded Xbox means you no longer need to use the DVDrive that is the only real vulnerable mechanism in an Xbox and shouldn't be used unless you absolutely have to like when you use an install disc.
I know what you're saying xman and you're right - the DVD drives are pretty useless and will no doubt fail within time. That being said I personally like to have a DVD drive, ok so I don't ever watch DVDs but quite a few people who I've set these up for still do and it means you don't have to have a separate unit for playing your DVDs. It's useful when people come over with a CD full of holiday snaps and you can just watch them on the xbox.
That red one is very smart but who in their right mind would pay that amount for it?!
