how to change the xbox logo

I know i can change the font and text underneath the logo using a bios edit or config program but how can i change the giant x and the xbox text?

I'd like to replace the start up .x file with this.



is there a way to do this?

To mod anything on the BIOS you need an hardmoded Xbox (TSOP or chip). You cannot change any visual aspects of the BIOS on a softmod.
Its not possible to replace the BIOS logo with something of your own choice unless you are willing to learn the basics of 3D drawing. And this image got too many details anyway.
.X files are DirectX models, not simple images. If you want to give it a try here is a tutorial.

• On M8+ you can add a 128x128 DDS on the top left corner. (check the ReadMe.txt)
• On iND-BiOS you can replace M$ logo at the bottom with a 200x34 BMP.

well thats a bummer. I was hoping for something a lot simpler. Thank you for answering and providing that pdf. Maybe an xbmc splash with mario can be more feasible.

The logo cant be replaced on a softmodded xbox but the colour can be changed to at least add a modded effect.

also there are alot of splash screens about i remember saving a collection of them from the old forum just trying to locate them atm to fire back up. not sure about a mario one but theres defo a need for speed and a halo one about

I'm pretty sure your Xbox is TSOP'ed or chipped and you just dont know about it.
TM logo missing and colourised like this, never seen this on a softmod. (though, I dont use softmod and never did)
Its just common sense. The BIOS get loaded before anything is touched on the HDD, and the softmod is on the HDD.
iND-BiOS and X2 5035 make this possible by loading a config file from the HDD before the BIOS screen (logo) is displayed.
So IMO its simply not possible. I'll like to be proved wrong.

Oooooo i feel daft but i really thought it was softmodded. I bought it as is with the changed boot but ive had it apart and it all looked 'stock' to me. Well that settles it, im just gona have to take the thing apart now and have a good look.

yup just one of those days you feel yourself asking why did i even post that lol i should have known that this wasn't a softmod and i did suspect it was TSOP'ed however when i opened it i found it to be chipped lol

anyways i posted a few pics up on the forum as id never seen this one before and have been told its only a cheap-mod at least its chipped and from the pics its a very tide install. found some lights and a vinyl skin modding it for the crack. cheers for your help guys
