Coinops Where to Download and how to install??

hi im buying a new xbox with coinops 4 loaded onto it and just wanted some quick info.

What is the current state of coinops? is version 5 now completed? im getting 4 on mine but have noticed there are many versions about. the xbox comes with a 750gb hdd so im gona pack it with games. therefore want to know which coinops is best to get put onto the xbox?

The one i think was put on was around 50gb, is this the final coinops 4? sorry if these are silly questions but i have little to no knowledge of this as i always used the resurrection extras emulators thanks

The latest is always the best and there are extra packs available too, mine is about 120gb without.any Xbox games yet. Pm me and I'll add you to the list, I'm sending it out this week to the first person.

Finally the HDD has started it's little voyage across the country. Only £2.20 to send so I'm well happy with that - let's just see if it survives Royal Mail

How did you send it? at least recorded delivery??

Nope I wanted to but it was going to work out way too expensive as it wouldn't quite fit through the special hole device the woman behind the counter had (hehe). I told her if she pushed hard enough it would go but she wasn't having any of it! In the end it just went standard package on a 2-3 day delivery.

Your actually third on the list mate so as long as the people before you do a quicker job than I done you should have it pretty soon.

Building a dedicated Xbox for it!

Think I'll stick a recorded post on it just to be safe..is it a 2.5" HDD?. maybe we should take a quick Snap of it as it heads round the country!

It's a 2.5" HDD but I bought you guys a cheap USB caddy for it so that gives it a little more protection. However the cheapskates I bought the caddy from didn't send any small screws to screw the HDD to the metal caddy and the standard computer screws I have were still too big so I've had to use a small brass woodscrew! I'm hoping that somewhere on it's travels someone will have a spare little screw they can replace it with. It's ok, whoever changes the screw you can keep the woodscrew - I don't want it back

nah its OK, I'm not ready yet. I don't think any of my machines have big enough hard drives and although I've got 1.4TB of free space on the server, by the time I got around to putting a big enough drive in the xbox coinops 6 will probably be out
I've got a couple of 500GB external laptop size hard drives here that could maybe take the place of the one doing the rounds at the moment if it doesn't survive well.

I think the disk loaded up initially and then got corrupted, I guess it got a bit battered in transit but don't worry I have a cunning plan in progress and I'll be in touch very soon

And give it a Nintendo DS Emulator for the Xbox?

Read the "read me" in the Coinops folder. Games have to be named properly. then placed like this-- romsConsoles/Gameboys/GBA_Gamename.zip. Then when you fire up coinops if it doesnt scan for new games then you can,scan from the menu
