Re: Nightly Builds
if you read over at BPs forum (if you are brave enough), you will see that I am being accused by him of supporting other projects that breach the GPL. he refers to a patch mentioned in a readme for one of the emulators. Of course, that was not something I handed to them and said - here please use this and break the GPL - this was just taken from our source tree, because we have a proper public repository with commit history. the patch was a modified fix from the samba mailinglist for our older samba library and class, which it seems a bunch of the emulators also use.
I don't like being accused of stuff, when it is blatently wrong.
I don't like the current state of affairs with GPL and the xbox scene. it is shameful.

You make the biggest trouble because of BP and the GPL
but if your friends break the GPL its ok for you???
Oh I see you helped them to break the GPL rules:
because you have given xbmc open source stuff to closed source emulators !!!
Or let me say: You know that ur friends break the GPL rules but it ok for you.
XBMC: Please respect the GPL License
>> From Frodo on xboxmediacenter.com:
Just a reminder to all other (XBOX) developers out there; Please pay respect the GNU General Public License (GPL). You can freely use any of the sources of XBMC and/or XBMP in your own project but remember that both XBMC and XBMP are open source under the GPL License. This means you must follow this license and provide the sources of your application on request. An example of this is DVD2XBOX, they are using XBMP's sources but DVD2XBOX was closed source itself. I'm very happy the authors of DVD2XBOX discovered this themselves and decided to opensource DVD2XBOX but there probably many other (XBOX) homebrew applications which are using XBMP/XBMC sources. To all those other software authors I would like to say; Please respect the GPL License!!!

Re: Nightly Builds
no luigi. its not ok. why are you accusing me - I am not supporting anyone breaking the GPL. and yeh. not this thread thanks. You have accused me in PM of allowing piracy on the forum (rudely), other accusations before on the forum and now here again. I warned you last time. have a ban.
Re: Nightly Builds
actually it looks like you've fixed some of the mem leaks. last night i was starting and stopping streams testing navi-x (plugin) on 31600, each time i got the low mem warning, but the interesting part is the xbox never hung. must have started 15-20 streams at least with no sign of it ever wanting to hang or getting worse. this would never have worked before, it would have hung long before i got boredSmiff wrote:i dunno isn't that core/dvdplayer stuff? plugins shouldn't be hanging system? i get hangs with the busy indicator up in lots of plugins. but this is not new to the nightlies. should have started new topic? sorry..

Re: Nightly Builds
Heh, well, sounds good, but I wonder if you just got lucky - there are mem leaks found and fixed occasionally though. Where there is software there is always bugsSmiff wrote: actually it looks like you've fixed some of the mem leaks. last night i was starting and stopping streams testing navi-x (plugin) on 31600, each time i got the low mem warning, but the interesting part is the xbox never hung. must have started 15-20 streams at least with no sign of it ever wanting to hang or getting worse. this would never have worked before, it would have hung long before i got bored(not sure exactly when this improved, i never used 3.2 much).

Still I'm certainly happy when things work well!

I replied to it saying it would be removed after request from the original poster. Then it was removed a few hours later.

Re: Nightly Builds
sweet xman that's the one.
what's difference between teamxbmc and uix shortcut?
any reason this can't be packaged with the builds to make things simple for newbies? (it's not in 3.2 stable is it?)

Re: Nightly Builds
The amount of vitriol directed at Buzz for being a standup guy and respecting GPL is ludicrous. Buzz, thanks for keeping XBMC on Xbox alive, we certainly appreciate it.
