Re: Quirky Xbox
Yes, you do. HeXEn gave you on-screen instructions just after you selected "3.5.4. New Disk, PAL Xbox".......
When XBPartitioner 1.1 loads, press 'Back' for Help, Press A to cycle between the standard layouts:
- F up to 137GB - no G
- All F
- F up to 137GB - remainder in G
- F:G 50:50
Once you have selected your preferred layout in XBPartitioner, press Start to write the partition table to the disk, or press Back twice to quit.
Re: Quirky Xbox
That's great , all done now , thanks again to all the help I have had so far , cheers for that .
Heimdall , hexen is very clear and user friendly ( when I took care to read properly ) it is appreciated.
My Xbox is now booting to a lovely piece of xbmc baked pi (thx to BuZz and the pi people)and with the hdd correctly formatted now ...
One last thing , where would the best place to ftp my rom folders too ?
I suspect just f or g under a folder called emulators , but I am not sure as a tutorial I watched had them going inside of xbmc under emulators but my xbmc is now in e which would be too small for that .
Thx

Re: Quirky Xbox
Glad you liked HeXEn, and that it did the job for you.
I'd go for emulators in F:\Emulators\
To be honest, with a 320GB drive I'd have gone for one F partition, because some of the emulator packs can be quite big... If you're going to make the change, now would be a good time to do it. Just boot your Xbox, put HeXEn in the DVD drive, use file manager to navigate to D:\Applications\XBPartitioner 1.1\default.xbe, and go through the process again - A to cycle through the options, Start to commit the change. It won't change your dash or your E partition at all.

Re: Quirky Xbox
Ah, so after using enigmah to change the video mode from PAL to NTSC, the DVD region code is remains 2. I suppose that's a valid arrangement for Japan - Region 2 and NTSC-J (I think).Heimdall wrote:It's stored in the eeprom.spicemuseum wrote:What exactly is it which retains this information [Region 2] ?
