Cannot scrape tvdb

Post by Spaceman »

Is tvdb scraper down for anybody?
I've been trying last two nights and it won't scrape saying sitr must be down.
I've checked and it isn't. Other tv scrapers don't work either.
I'm still using 3.1 as I prefer it for some daft reason. Do I need to upgrade?

upgrade to the latest stable. if that doesn't help, see http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewt ... p?f=6&t=65 about posting a debug log.

I'm trying to avoid that as I don't like using 3.2 and 3.2.1. They seem to use more ram for me, have low resolution thumbnails and iplayer seems to be worse though that could be placebo.
iplayer hasn't been great since 3.0 actually.
Besides It's now working again so the site must have been down for a few days.
To those that replied. Thanks for all your help.

Then you should at least update your scrapers, see if it solves your problem.

if there is an issue with thumbnails I need a debug log. it's absolutely no help to the project to say something doesn't work and not at least try and provide some information.

Scrapers working fine for me. tried a few different ones and found all working.

for me best results are films - IMDb using the scraper fix and thetvdatabase for tv shows.

i did notice on mine that renaming the files really helps, ie for example say you had the walking dead seasons 1-3

name the parent folder the walking dead followed by Season 1 (for 1-3) the the files inside the folder by season and episode ie S03E05 for season 3 episode 5. Also doing it this way for me stops it scraping the wrong info for similar names tv shows / films

hope this helps

What build are you using Keith? I noticed the lower res thumbs too... I could do some testing as I currently have two Xboxes under the TV ;)
