win7 cannot control XBMC via DLNA/WMP

Post by powerkutte »

hi there,

i tried win7x32 winx64 and win7starter, my xbmc can enter the DLNA shares of WindowsMediaPlayer(WMP) but cannot be controlled by WMP(to be exactly it cannot be controlled be WMPs "Digital Media Controler").
actually, the log file not even reports an error(http://pastebin.ca/2304719), but WMP says "Device does not respond"

Any idea? i cannt be the only one witnessing this problem, its since several years (i have several builds from 2009 etc. it was worse back there and XBMC even crashed when connected to a win7 network with DLNA enabled...

What do you mean?

i turn on PC and XBOX, rightclick a media file => play on => XBMC Media renderer => "Play on" Screen pops up, tries to connect, fails somehow.

after that a copy the XBMC.log from ftp and post it here.
Here is another file, language set to german, debug turned on:

You have to enable debug mode and it gives you a lot more output in the log there is a setting in the menu to enable full debug logs you may see your errors if you enable it.
