Tis a sad day indeed :(

Post by evan_almighty »

RE:

One last note:
Something that came up in an earlier discussion, was an accusation of double standards on our part, for arguing about the GPL and then providing builds created with the XDK, which is a breach of Microsoft’s end user licence. One wrong does not excuse another, but we will not be providing any new builds.

Think I will have to drown my sorrows over the weekend, it's like the end of an era. :(

Not really, before June/July this year, we never did provide builds on the site/as part of the project. Your forgetting the times when neither xbox-scene nor xbmc forum allowed any linking even to XBE and yet everyone managed to get xbmc right ? :)

Now Im not going to pretend that i understand all of this....however this i will say....I use XBMC4XBOX every day....for music...games....etc and use it when we have a Party to play play lists.....there never will be a time when people dont ask about XBMC when i use it....i have it on my Pc but always use my xbox when the beer flows :D .......we have xbox 360...two ps3`s in the house but the Xbox and Xbmc never stops amazing our guests....`how can a 10 year old games console do that...?` i hear.....then i point them to this site...then i soft mod there xbox`s they buy just to use Xbmc like i do.... :D

I would be Gutted if Development for the xbox1 stopped....however im guessing with this older platform the final boundary might have been reached...?

I will follow this post and any news closely

Thanks all

Don't want to speak for our dev; however, I doubt he'll be stopping development any time soon... Regarding the executables, there will always be someone willing to compile and release... Even the occasional pc version with all the new goodies to test new or existing skins.

Don't be discouraged! :)

I really hope this is not the end, and i dont believe it either :)

Been ages since i updated my xboxes, and finally have time this xmas. Can someone point me in the correct direction for the latest known stable build?
Never argue with an idiot! First he brings you down to his level, then he beats you with experience.

Dear forum,

Is there anywhere on the net that the last nightly build could still be found?

Thank you,

Look on the forum. Btw I don't recommend running the nightlies for general use.
