New to all This, any and all help appreciated

Post by SuperNoob »

Hi,
I found this whilst looking for something else, but this seems pretty cool.

I have downloaded the zip file.

I will extract to my PC's external drive.

And then what?

Do i burn a cd or dvd with the program on it?

Thanks in advance.

I feel that I need to ask since you haven't specifically mentioned it, but your Xbox is modded, correct? If it is, then how is it modded?

No, my xbox is not yet modded.

Ok, so i need a specific game, and then a specific game save to begin soft-modding my xbox.

A game should be No Problem, ebay...

how do i get the game save from my computer to a xbox memory card ( i have one).

Or do i need a usb adapter and put the file on a 4 gb or less flash drive? (and then plug the drive into the xbox via controller port?

If i get the usb adapter (so i can plug my flash drive into my xbox), i have to reformat the flash drive, right?

Does XP support this format, so i can write the file( the game save exploit) to the flash drive?

Or do i have to find a copy of the save on ebay, also?

I can solder if i absolutely have to, but would rather not, as I'm not very good at soldering stuff.

That is correct, however make sure you get the correct version of the game, I know Splinter Cell platinum versions do not work - has to be the original. If you're in the UK then CEX and the other second hand shop like that have the games very cheap. I was in one of them only a few days ago and they still had plenty of Splinter Cell originals for under £2 (one shop had them for 50p).

Use Xplorer360 and get your gamesave from here. Once you've got your gamesave copied over to a flash card you'll need an Xbox>USB cable which are cheap on ebay and you can then copy it to the xbox hdd. Follow my video guide

yes you simply plug the flash drive (with the adaptor cable) into the xbox and go to the memory option and format it - simple as that.

No need to solder, the only real benefit of having a modchip is that it's easier to upgrade and swap hdd's. If you fancy a bit of soldering and you have an xbox model 1.0-1.5 then you could do a tsop after you've softmodded which would basically be the same as having a modchip and you could get rid of the annoying flubber (the loud xbox noise when you switch it on).
