Streaming audio (online radio)

Hello,

I want to listen to online music from my xbox, i have read that i must create a .strm file, but i don't know if i had to create it on Notepad and then change the extension .txt to .strm, and what is the content inside the file to get working the streaming radio (i know that is an URL for each stream).

Please help me, you are more experienced than me on XBMC

Get the stream url and paste it into notepad. Save it and rename the extension. I have only a few like this but I renamed the extension to .m3u. I have them saved in "Userdata/Playlists/Music/". Could I suggest an alternative? If you download Jan's XBMC4XBOX v2.1 build and also download the zip file he posted containing the TuneIn add on then you can browse and listen to many many stations.

I use the Shoutcast Radio plugin. You can find it in the music section of xbox addon installer.

My Jans English xbmc4xbox have two addapted radio addons from main xbmc radio and TuneIn !
With TuneIn can you browse listen and record many radio stations!

I have downloaded TuneIn on my XBMC4XBOX, I need to try my own and see if the program reads the stations I select as favorites from my BlackBerry, although I have not tried because right now my xbox is bothering with internet connection
