I'm trying to set my xbox up as a headless jukebox controlled from an iPad, either using the web interface or remote control app.
On 3.2 stable build, got the web interface with the default pm3 skin up and running. It works ok through a standard desktop browser and iPad, but there is no means to scroll through the list of music on the iPad. Tried other skins and getting flakey results (dodgy rendering on safari/ stalls...).
Tried a couple of the remote control apps and they verify a connection with the xbox however some either dont work at all or are very flakey.
Before i dig deeper in a debug log/ fresh install, I read a post in the xbmc forum that the xbmc4xbox build does not support the rpc json protocol...which would stuff my chances with getting it to work with the majority of current remote apps. Is this true?
If it is supposed to be working, it would be very much appreciated if anyone could suggest a working remote app/ web interface for the iPad.
iPad/ iPhone compatible remote/ web interface?
Re: iPad/ iPhone compatible remote/ web interface?
I too am after something for my iphone to control xbmc. I think I have exhausted the list of xbmc remotes from the app store, none seem to want to play the game sadly.
Re: iPad/ iPhone compatible remote/ web interface?
I'm new to the XBMC4XBOX, so hello. I was searching for an Eden version of XBMC for the XBOX, without any success
But I found this site, so immediately downloaded v3.2 STABLE. I hope there will be an iPad App for it soon, or a new STABLE version with support oft he code/standards with are used by the iPad apps currently available (nearly all for Eden version).

Re: iPad/ iPhone compatible remote/ web interface?
I was also hoping to run XBMC as a headless music server, My Android phone has a remote that seems to work, but I cannot believe that there is no XBMC remote for iphone, have all the previous apps been updated out of compatibility??
Re: iPad/ iPhone compatible remote/ web interface?
Is this still the case?
I am days away from buying a WDTV to use as a headless audio playout machine as my android phone has broken and I am using my iphone now.
As I gather it is something to do with the new Eden builds doing somehting differently than the Xbox version so all XBMC remotes must be compatible with the latest version of XBMC.
