(solved) movie scraper no covers

Post by saikerone »

Hello,

I've bought a second hand xbox for a mediacenter and it rockes thanks to xbmc4xbox!!
Thanks for the great work your forum helped me a great deal but I've a few questions about movie/tv show scraper.

1. XBMC scrapes the info and rating fine but there are no covers. Can I scrape this or manually add them? Rather scrape because there are 100+ movies on there.
I stored the movie collection on my NAS and share it via SMB source in xbmc.

2. a couple of movie was scraped with incorrect info. Is there a way to change this manually?
Or how do I get correct info.

Hope that some can help me.

If your media is shared with XBMC, don't you already have poster.jpg, clearart.png etc.? I did not need to do anything extra. I ftped my folder from my HTPC (that apart from video and subtitle files also contained covers, banners, logos etc), and hit "Update Library" in my xbox.

Perhaps try to get the cover yourself (for example from http://thetvdb.com/), rename it to poster.jpg and place it inside your video folder...

solved! Used freeware Media Companion v3500 on pc to scrape my NAS. This program puts pictures and fanart in the movie folders, can edit manually.
Hit update in XBMC4XBox and the covers show!

But this is built-in function in PC (at least AEON skin has it). Scans and downloads all artwork for you automatically. XBOX can then use whatever the skin supports...

No need for extra software
