Silent Boot

Post by Emegra »

Hi everyone
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to remove or mute the xbox splash screen sound on startup, that is the original xbox sound before the uleash screen shows up, I know this might seem trivial but I have my audio and video split ie the sound goes through my sound system and the video to the TV and because I need the sound set fairly high for normal playback in xbmc it's far too high at start up and deafens everyone in the room.

Any help would be much appreciated

Many thanks

Graeme

If you have a modchip/flashed TSOP - yes.
If you have softmod - no.

How? You need to edit your bios or configuration file (depends on bios you are using).

If you use an iND bios its as easy as adding a text file to the root of C/ drive, other bios's require editing or you may find some pre modded.

X2 5035 can be edited with a config file as well.

Hi everyone
Thanks for your replies, I don't know if I have a iND bios or what kind of bios I have but my xbox is softmodded so it looks like I'm stuck with the noise

Many thanks
