way to edit video playlists???

I have my video's set up with a playlist for the kids to watch. To set up the playlist, it seems the only way is to filter them by the tags that are downloaded and do not seem to be editable. For example, the movie Toy Story is in the genre "Family". I can filter the movies by genre"Family", but unfortunately, movies that I do not want the kids to see are also in the genre "Family". Is there a way to edit the tags that are downloaded, or even to add my own tag in the genre section so that I can filter only the movies I want the kids to see?

Best way is to put all 'kids' movies in a folder and make a smartplaylist with 'path' 'is'.
