Re: For the seniors
Well it's not a lot different, here's the main differences I've found...
Going out on a proper session will take a few days to get over
Going out on two consecutive all day sessions will take the best part of a week to feel normal again!
I started to have a much more diverse taste in music. Rather than Sex Pistols, Oasis, The Who and indie rock blasting out on the stereo I found myself listening to Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash and The Wurzels!
Occasionally I find myself wearing pyjamas and I now love wearing slippers around the house, what's that all about?
Aches and pains started to be quite annoying and once I hit 35 the amount of vitamins, pain killers and stuff I have to take each day is enough to keep a small pharmacy in business.
However the most annoying thing I've found recently was this: I went to a secret Vaccines gig about 2 weeks ago and I must have been the oldest bloke there (at 36) but thought myself to still be fairly cool and down with the kids so went up to the bar to buy myself a couple of bottles of beer. Some guy came up to me in his early 20's and said "Alright mate, you're a West Ham fan aren't you?". Happy that a kid seemed to know me from the pubs around East London I had no idea who he was so started to work out if we know the same people. He really killed the mood by telling me I drink with his DAD - suddenly I didn't feel so hip and trendy
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATE!

Happy birthday!
Geesss 30... that was a while ago for me... in fact I'd not been in Oz long at 30! - I was in Western Australia picking apples on a farm to save for a flight back to Sydney after spending all my cash travelling the Australian roads and banking most of it in the pub!
42 now... still feel about 25!
Yep Lee I have the same now... hangovers last days!

That makes me feel better about it. I too look and feel younger than 30 so that's good but a 3 day concert is coming, i think it will be rough. Halarious bar story Whufclee, I look forward to something like that happening to me now, make for good stories.

It's been a while since I was that age but I never got any thoughts of dressing up like a "Nancy Boy".professor_jonny wrote:you will have to get an outfit to go to town and get on it in the week end comming 30 is a big mile stone:

Am I the oldest one on here? I'm 52 next month
I can, (just) remember Patrick Troughton playing Doctor Who, and watching from behind the sofa
