Refrence Guide To determine Xbox Version

Anyone have a refrence Guide to determine What Version Of Xbox you Have ? I think from the #'s i seen on the bottom i have a 1.6 Version is that a good way to tell?

exactly what i was askin about -- the 06
versions made in China and it gives a Second link that Doesnt Work
so its hard for me to tell witch one it is
i gess i can look at specific areas on the board or something Couldnt i to determine what board i have -- Lol its the first step in Figureing out what mods are Available still for this box my gess is its a 1.6

it was made on Line 2, week43, in 2004
And this was the last Paragraph Before the Chart

"Now look up the box corresponding to the week and the production line in the following table. The legend below the table will tell you the meaning of the colors. Note:Anything _After 18\04_ Is mainly Unknown and is most likly to be a version 1.6 or 1.6b. "

That guide should be accurate. It pulled its info from the Xbox-Scene guide (you can see the watermarks in some of the pictures). I'm pretty much 100% sure that your console is a 1.6/1.6b based on the mfg date though because I think that 1.6 consoles started production in early 2004 and yours is almost at the end of 2004. You can look straight at the video chip if you decide to open it up and you should see that it's an Xcalibur chip.

Yeah, exactly what I expected. If you're curious, you can further determine whether your console is a 1.6 or 1.6b by looking at the RAM chips. Samsung = 1.6, Hynix = 1.6b. Samsung chips can be used in 128mb RAM mods.

Yea i i saw Samsung chips Not sure witch one is the "ram" but ill google that and then Look through.my pics i took earlyer
