I upgraded to 3.2 from 3.1 and have been experiencing some problems. At first, my default skin of Silk started running very slow and it crashed often. I then deleted my UserData folder, and that was of no help. I have since switched to PMIII.HD and haven't had any problems with the skin. Another problem is that whenever I download information for my movies I get everything there is except for the thumb. The thumbs are downloaded as I can go into the movie info and chose a thumb, but whenever I select one and go back to the library view or movie info panel, there is no thumb, just blank.
The only change I have made to the system is adding a custom thumb size of 512x512 to my advance settings.
Also, is there any way to disable XBMC4XBOX from looking for media on hard drives when they are off? What I mean to say is that I have various sources for my movies, sources from a couple of different computers, and that can be an issue when I have one of those computers off, and I try to access my movies under file mode.
Scrapper bug?

Re: Scrapper bug?
I think there is a scraper bug too. I have reverted back to 3.1 from 3.2 for now as the new version is pulling very low-res wide banners of my TV Shows from my fileserver. They look pixel-lated and blurry.. I use the Slik skin and 3.2 breaks the recently added script.

@ocmdiaz714: I'm afraid I haven't had chance to test out 3.2 yet so can't help you with the problem. However I can enlighten you on the word "scrapper" - without referring to the dictionary I would say this has two meanings; either a dogged fighter (one who is scrappy, a bit like Scrappy Doo!) or something that removes items (scrap). I think the word you're after is a "scraper" - this scrapes your library for new entries
As for your problem I can only suggest trying a complete fresh build and see if the problem still occurs, if it does then we at least know it's most likely a problem with the build.
@bluskyonmars: Could this be to do with the implementation of jpegturbo? I only use xbmc4xbox on my smaller tv's so can barely notice any difference in quality but it makes a massive difference in speed when browsing libraries. For me I'd take jpegturbo over the old one any day but i can see how it would be a little frustrating on a larger TV - you may have to go back to an older build if you prefer visual quality over speed on navigation.

@ whufclee
I'm not sure what causes it but the Videos library seems unaffected, fanart and posters are good quality. I tried looking through the xml files for settings of the resolution to wide banners, an option between jpegturbo and the original would be good .. It looks bad on a 42-66' inch projector! lol.

Re: Scrapper bug?
the recently added script will need updating for 3.2 as we have new stuff in the video library - you could take the recentlyadded.py acript from confluence and copy it to your skin, and it should work. with the next release, this will be handled without python as with new xbmc on linux.
as for the thumbs, its likely due to the thumb size being enforced by the new jpeg code. During development there was some testing by myself, and other users, but no-one picked up on that, so you can a) wait until I fix it - opening a bug report with a debug log would be very helpful please for tracking the bug, and b) you can increase the thumbnail size so that they will be scaled less (thumbsize in advancedsettings.xml or so).
I think if i switch my calculations to use a geometric mean all will be well (as mentioned on the xbmc documentation http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Us ... Cthumbsize.

Re: Scrapper bug?
I am addressing the wide icons resolution issue over at http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewt ... ?f=6&t=208 - and I have posted a build to try.

Re: Scrapper bug?
I can confirm that by using your 'BUILD', TV show Wide banners are in good quality again , thanks Buzz!
Probably destined for a new or another thread: I have detected another anomaly.. If video playback resolution is changed to '720p 16:9' opposed to 'Best available' (settings:video) I get huge judder/jerky/page tearing? of video playback not smooth at all. Selecting 1080i 16:9 in video playback res will instant crash system!
Strange when 'Best available' is chosen video playback is smooth and pressing Y on controller shows 1920x1080 1080i 16:9 - how strange!
My default resolution is 720p.
Jon.
