Hi all,
I hope someone can help. I recently soft modded an Xbox (v1.6b) using splinter cell exploit and unleashX dash but I get Error 112 when copying 'C' (the last process of the mod). This means I cannot boot to MS dashboard because it's simply not there! My C drive is completely empty. I can reboot the Xbox and it will boot to unleash with no problems and I can uninstall the softmod which will reinstall MS dash. My worry is will this give me any headaches later on when I install xbmc? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mod twice with same results. What am I doing wrong?
(I have a couple of xecuter x3 chips lying around which I hope to use later on after I have found some tutorials on installing it, would I be better of focusing on that instead of the soft mod? My plan is to install a chipped LG DVD drive and upgrade the HD)
Q2.
I have xbmc4xbox 3.2 but where do I FTP it to and set it as default boot dash? I want to avoid AID or similar if I can.
Anyway, that C drive is bugging me and don't want to go any further until its sorted.
Anyway help on either question would be much appreciated, thanks.

Re: Softmod error 112 and xbmc4xbox install help request.
Which game save installer are you using exactly to install your softmod? Krayzie's ndure? If you're not already using Krayzie's ndure, then try using that since it's widely regarded to be the most stable. If you're already using Krayzie's ndure, then after installing your softmod, try using Heimdall's Xbox Engineering Disc to essentially reinstall your softmod. I could be wrong but I think that you can also just upload the stock C files there yourself after you've softmodded (I don't softmod much so I don't know for sure). The empty C drive that you see is just the Shadow C, essentially a fake C drive to protect the real softmodded C drive files from being overwritten or deleted, so having it empty shouldn't pose any immediate problems, but I'm not sure if you might run into problems when dealing with things like the clock set error.
Regarding the default dash location, it should be under E:\dash\ or E:\dashboard\ depending on your softmod. You'll want to install another dashboard elsewhere, run the second dashboard, and then FTP in and delete your first dashboard before replacing it with XBMC. Make sure that you're putting the files into the correct location. By that I mean that if your original dashboard was in E:\dash\, then make sure that all of your files go into E:\dash\ and your default.xbe should end up at E:\dash\default.xbe.
BTW, your questions should have gone into the modding forum since they're not directly related to XBMC.

Thanks for helping out AZImmortal, you have been a big help. I think I was using Krayzies original SC saves v1, not sure if that had anything to do with but I reformatted and used Hexen to sort it out then FTP xbmc4xbox, had to use Xbox shortcut maker to make it default as it kept booting to unleash but it's all up and running now, thanks again
