Controller Compatabillity in Games
How possible is it to use generic controllers in Xbox games? The last time I tried this the controller worked in the softmod dashboards but was ignored by any game.
Rule number one, do NOT fly into a thunderstorm. Rule number two, if you fly into a thunderstorm, see rule number one.

I find that hard to believe as the xbox ignores the usb id string it just works it is really only Linux that has problems with non Microsoft controllers.

I wish I knew that about 4 hours ago when I was using gentoo to do a TSOP on a 1.4 Winbond machine. Controller works perfectly until Gentoo is involved and then no D Pad movements. Change to a MS controller and now I can navigate with the D Pad...GRRRRRRRR. I only learnt that after looking on a couple of forums and someone mentioned it. Actually there problem was exactly that, no D Pad movements using Geetoo.professor_jonny wrote:I find that hard to believe as the xbox ignores the usb id string it just works it is really only Linux that has problems with non Microsoft controllers.

Try the XBlast OS loader, that's meant to support a lot of third party controllers.xman wrote:I wish I knew that about 4 hours ago when I was using gentoo to do a TSOP on a 1.4 Winbond machine. (It's the gentoox loader source fixed up & updated with new features)
Or use chimp 261811 loader as it's the XBlast OS installer source modded again lol

Re: Controller Compatabillity in Games
xblast os does not work with all controllers yet also but it should support than Cromwell does.
I know it does not work with the logitceh wireless controllers under xblast os properly, but button presses randomly work if an official controller is plugged in at the same time.
I can confirm there are some non working ones in the latest build, ben was looking in to why it did not work with everything, he said to me it possibly had something to do with the built-in usb hub.

Re: Controller Compatabillity in Games
I should probably mention I was talking about generic USB controllers that were not specifically designed for the Xbox. The only two I tested didn't work in games. I ever get my video cable remade ill test a dualshock 4
