[SOLVED] Help - Updating XBMC 1.1.0

Hey guys!

I have a soft modded crystal Xbox since 2004, running XBMC v1.1.0 and I'd like to update it to the latest version.
Is there any foolproof way to do this without messing things up? (Someone did the softmod for me back then, so I don't have the tools to redo this if anything fails...)

boot up an auto installer dvd from there you can ftp a new dash over top of the old one.

if you install the latest softmod from hexen you wont have any problems with creating a brick as it protects the softmod files.

The hexen disc worked wonderfully

after that I updated to XBMC 3.5.1 and everything is running smoothly!!
