I've been having a couple of issues with XBMC (3.5.1) defaulting to 720x480i instead of running at 1080i. After I load up the default dash and enable 1080i, it works fine so long as I don't mess with the visual settings or restart/turn off the console; then it defaults.
This is happening on two consoles: Both are pal and have had enigma used on them which seemed to be successful, the first I was trying with has an x3 chip installed and the other is a softmod. I know it isn't the tv as I have another box (XBMC 3.5 Beta 2) running completely fine with my desired settings on this tv so that also rules out the cable. Any help is appreciated.
XBMC Defaults to 720x480i

I have a similar problem!
Since today I try to use an HDTV Component AV Cable (with resolution: 1080i), but when logging in XBMC free RAM of 36MB drops below 4MB.
Directly on the Xbox has crashed - no function!
Testing with different skins are give different free RAM.
Transparency (x4x) = under 10MB (default font)
Transparency (x4x) = under 5MB (arial font)
Confluence = under 14MB
PM3.HD = above 20MB
I keep trying to solve the problem.

You should not use XBMC4Xbox in 1080i. It will cause problems.
Anyways, 720p is a superior definition.

Correct, but you have finally more RAM!
I have only 64MB, but with a memory sparing skin, can I use my Xbox with 1080i. (1920x1080)
