Pictures not rotating using exif info on 3.2 stable

Post by roadster »

Just updated to 3.2 stable (clean install) and the Pictures slideshow is really slow to start and really slow to change pictures, as in longer than the 3 seconds I specified. The pictures dont rotate using the exif information.

All works fine on 3.1 r31107 which I have been using before.

Any ideas?

the speed issue is not known though. slideshow is fast here, and a lot faster than it used to be.

Nope, definately slower by a considerable amount between the two builds. I have just checked it again on 3.1 the first pic comes on the screen after 2 secs approx and the slideshow changes at 3 second intervals as set up to do. On 3.2 it takes about 8 seconds to start up then advances at 5 - 6 second intervals on the same 3 second setting. All other settings are the same.

then you need to post a debug log. see the sticky topic.

in this case a debug log from both versions would be useful for a comparison.

It seems as though its not loading them as quickly from the samba share. can you copy to the local hd and test, to rule out the image code.

Pictures are displayed correctly from a local source.

must be something related to samba / networking - but im not sure what - are your settings equivalent ? have you tried installing the new version on its own ?

I can't reproduce the issue here.
