tsop hard drive upgrade issue

Hi all. I have a few xboxes i want to get setup from some mates with upgraded hard drives. I have tsoped the unit with evox m8+ bios. All good with the standard hard drive.

Then i used hexen and a 80gb drive to upgrade. It did every thing fine. Cleaned up the install files cleared the cache. I then rebooted and got an error 21 then turn off and on and it gets to the xbox screen and stalls there.

I really want to have it booting to xbmc and running emulators.

Anyone have anyideas whats happened. I want to get these consoles to my mates so i can do my halo unit.

This error says that the machine was booted to display a error, basically someone told the machine to reboot (or launch a xbe) with this flag, and the error code just means its been rebooted by the flag

This occurs frequently when the xbox is unable to boot due to dashboard changes being made (ie Gcue true blue hasnt been resigned, parts of the stock dash are missing - incomplete FTP backups copied to a new HDD for example).

I've come across this error a few times over the past couple of weeks whilst trying to use a savegame exploit, for some reason its not booting yourdash.xbe I've only really seen this with with unmodded consoles, are you sure the TSOP flashed? Whats the boot order for the BIOS? It could be possible the BIOS is trying to load a .xbe thats either not there or named incorrectly

I used a guide on you tube by slot1gamer. It was a pritty streight forward guide. I am a newbie to this style of mods. I have done a few softmods for people before.

This unit was already softmodded. From what i heard you had to soft mod first before tsop flash.

whats the boot order of the BIOS?
what dashboards do you have installed to you c:\ directory?

Every bios looks for evoxdash.xbe or xboxdash.xbe by default in C. Unless changed by the user.

I have fixed the issue. I have had to go in and lock the drive. Next thing i want to do is get xbmc as the main dash.
