wireless xbox controller

Post by nidge »

Hi, can anyone help with details about this wireless Xbox controller?
It has Play On written on the controller port receiver, and at the top of the controller.
Looks a bit like a Playstation one in design.
I have tried Googling for it, but haven't found anything like it, can't even match a picture?

I can't get it to work, there is a green LED that lights up at the top when the batteries are in.
Wondering if there is some sort of button combination to turn it on or set it up?
The receiver has a memory port under a flap on the top.

Any ideas :)

You are right, this one is hard to google.
See if it has any other name tags, device number or serial number. Check on these.

I found the same controller, but for PS2 on ebay. Maybe you could ask the seller how it works?

and some more here

Or we will wait and see if someone here can help you.

Hi , would anybody know if this controller is for xbox or xbox 360
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 43&alt=web
It says it is for 2.4ghz old gen so I suspect it's 360 but nowhere does it mention 360 .

That's the same as the one I have, so yes original xbox not 360. The transmitter/receiver box is a bit of a giveaway, 360's have wireless built into the console ;)
Just looked again, it hasn't got the black and white buttons like mine has?

Thanks nidge , it doesn't say it comes with a receiver but in the picture it has one , plus it says only 5 metres which is not far but it is cheap so I'm tempted , cheapskate that I am :-)
