Yesterday morning around 11am i fell off a ladder about 2m high and landed on right toot and broke my fibula and shattered the socket.
Been in hospital for nearly 24hrs and fasting untill they know when i go into surgery, seen a surgeon and he said it will be a plate and screws fix.

Jesus BKO or Allah if you are that way inclined. Two meters suks. I'm not going to say the normal, " you won't do that again will you?", because it seems the older you get, the more ladder work involved. Nor will I say, " you'll be more careful next time won't you", like as if you went out of your way to fall off the 1st time. I will however wish you a speedy recovery.

Ouch!

I broke my ankle some years back... that was 5 days in hospital and surgical screws to put it back together

Yo. That sucks. I know a similar feeling. I tore the ligaments in my right ankle in early November and had to have those fixed up. Still not walking right to this day. Get well soon bud.

After 6 days of waiting for swelling to go down , surgery is booked for tomorrow am.
I will be glad to get my arse out of this bed before i go crazy.

Had surgery on sunday, 1 plate and screws. Will be off my feet for 8 weeks

Plate and 12 screws Hoping recovery will get me most of the movement back but there is permanent damage , 6 weeks without any load on it whatever the physio guys say.

I wouldn't have your Quack sewing up my pants, that's a given. I don't think his talent lies in his screwing ability either. Hasn't he heard of drilling pilot holes so the screws go in straight. I imagine his talent is in his surgery skills and he didn't want to outsource maybe?
The screws and plate will be coming back out or are they there for good just to play havoc with the metal detectors at all the airport?.

Almost 4 weeks since surgery and incisions are barely visible even after only a week of having stitches removed .
