Hi all,
I've got a chip modded box for several years, up and running with no problem. I've updated the HD to a 500Gb also a few a years ago.
This weekend something very strange happened. All my Tv Shows files disappeared. (the real files, not on the library). I have them on F: organized in folders (videos/movies; videos/shows; etc). The oddest thing is that i think they weren't deleted because the free space remains the same (circa 200GB on F:)
I've searched them via filezzilla and they are no where to be found!
The, after assuming i've lost them I putt one or two episodes again, and the same thing happened! A few minutes latter they've disappeared - and the F: free space din't increase!
Does anyone have a clue on this?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Files disappearing
google xbpartitioner and download it to your XBOX. Run it and well.....its fairly self explanatory after that! Make sure you format the F drive with 32k clusters. You'll lose everything on it unfortunately.

Re: Files disappearing
If your F drive is bigger than 250GB's it has to be formatted with 32k clusters, if you dont do this you will get data corruption when you fill up the hard drive past 250GB's. Everything just kinda disappears like that. Download XBpartitioner, run it and make it formatt F with 32k clusters. Keep in mind however that this will delete everything on F and you'll have to start over again so make sure the xbox can boot with a blank F drive before you start this. Sucks you have to start over but now you know there wont be anymore problems.

Also, for future reference just in case you upgrade to a bigged HDD:
250GB-500GB 32k Clusters
500GB-1TB 64k Clusters

Re: Files disappearing
Well, I'm back again...
When I run xbpartitioner I get a Warning:
"LBA48 info not found! Custom partitions will not work with this Bios! Update your Bios to one which supports at least LBA48 version 2. "
I get the option to continue, but i'm on the blind here.
One more thing, am I able to format only F:?
Thanks in advance

You've got a very old BIOS, or newer BIOS with LBA48 configured off, you need to change the BIOS on your modchip.light_in_tunel wrote:When I run xbpartitioner I get a Warning:
