USB to XBOX cable wiring

Hey guys, so I am making a USB to Xbox cable to do a softmod. I've cut open my USB cable, but it has different colored wires than I was expecting. It has white, green, blue, and orange wires. I've googled around and found conflicting info on how to connect one of these to an Xbox controller cable. I also have found different diagrams with conflicting info on exactly what each USB wire color does for this type of cable. Does anyone know exactly which USB wire goes to which Xbox wire in this scenario? Thanks!

The best way is using a multimeter.

Otherwise you can solder directly to the pins on the connector.

I wired it up USB -> XBOX as: Orange -> Red, Blue -> Black, White -> White, Green -> Green. Works great, I just loaded SID5 and have a softmodded dash

The wires are the same as a USB cable. But a lot simpler is to made one of the controller ports to a USB port.
