wanted 3 pin leds for front ring

does anyone have any 3 pin led's so that i can change my front ring colors?

i found some on ebay and other sites and unfortunately all i can find is large packs usually 50 or above which is alot when i really only need 1, or 3 at most if i do my other 2 xbox's.

You can use a pair of 3mm LEDs on each side.
Front panel needs to be cutted a bit to fit double LEDs.

I like to use regular 3mm LED for this too, but there is some drawbacks.
Crystal and Halo editions don't look as good with them. (when it flash red/green(blue), it look like a train is coming)
The 3rd color (both color lighted on) doesn't look mixed perfectly like a a bi-colour LED do. And this on any Xbox.

You will be paying 50¢ to 1$ for each LED in small quantity. (don't order 2 LED lol, what if you damage one?)
So 3-6$ for 4-6 LED, or 6-12$ for 100 of them... The choice is easy to me.

Also make sure to get common cathode ones.

ok guys thanks for the info but i would still rather have a 3 pin led if anyone has any?

i any ordering a pack of 3mm led's in blue anyways as i want to complete another ring mod around the clear custom jewel and my strip lights wouldn't fit around it shame too as it wud have looked awesome.

As for the front ring i found some 3 pin led on ebay but it was a pack of 50 for around £15 (UK) which is alot when i only need 2. However they were purple, blue and a violet / florescent color which looked awesome. Hopefully someone on the forum has a few spare 3 pin knocking about for sale if not i'll just add the 3mm led's as long as i can get it to look right

@ 60s, I bought some of my twin colour, red / blue 3mmLEDs from LLammas. I used lots till I found I preferred twin 3mm LEDs, one blue and one white on each side. I'm buggered if I can see the individual LEDs on each side like others have experienced but I only used coloured cases too I guess.

Why don't you send a message to the eBay seller who's selling them in packs of 50 and ask him to create a special auction for only 10 pieces. That's what I did a couple of months back.

a user has found some in a local shop 3 pin led's (blue purple and violet i think) so hopefully they will do the trick
