The reason for this thread is because I'm curious if ppl are still making money by selling modded xbox's? Are ppl still interested in one?

I never really made money even though i sold quite a few. I would probably take 10-20$ overall on each xbox, then again I would find some from Goodwill for 7$ and flip for 30$. I just had fun making them and spreading the the little secret around town. Some people are so shocked when you show them what these can do.

You can make a little extra cash modding and selling on but it wouldn't really be a viable business venture! The time taken to mod them and then set them up for customers takes quite some time - I generally sell them on to friends and family and make around £20 on each unit. I find it's easier to sell them onto people aged 40+ as they generally aren't aware of all the other options available plus the xbox is really simple to use. With the introduction of tablets, android boxes, ATV, HTPCs, Raspberry Pi etc who would choose a big heavy, bulky xbox? I love Coinops and the xbox is still great for smaller TVs which don't require full HD so I tend to market tham more for bedrooms opposed to a main media center.
