Buffering - Slow LAN speed - Half duplex ?

Those speeds are easily fast enough for anything the xbox can stream.

By default xbmc4xbox uses only ram for cache btw. not HD.

Oh, I was unaware of that. Since RAM is like a "gazillion times" faster then any HDD can ever be.....
I stand corrected, it simply can't possibly be the HDD then. (Unless it uses HDD for a swapfile )



Sooooooo I'll guess I better set my focus to my network.
I was staring blind on my HDD coz I thought it was the device used for caching....

Aloha everybody....


As I promised, here a small update.

I have not done anything with my network and computer yet, no Franklins in da pocket, but here is the funny thing.
Still not sure of the exact date, but after I had made one of the last posts in this thread.....

....I never got the "Buffering" message again !?!?!?!



Now I am thinking : What the BLEEP did I do, to make it stop buffering ???
For the life of me I have absolutely no clue.

- Didn't change anything in the network (no cables, switches, hubs etc)
- Didn't update anything on my Xbmc4Xbox
- No changes in my fileserver.... (just some Windos security updates)
- Didn't remove or add any hardware in the network


So for now the problem of the buffering is ehhr how to say : It is solved-ish.
If I do ever find out what it was, or if it comes back, I will keep you guys'n'gals posted...
