ViideoPhile and XTV-LITE 1.1 beta 1 (Big News for XBMC4Xbox)

I wasn't quite sure where to post this, so I posted it here. On version 3.5Beta if you use the XTV-LITE 1.1 beta 1 skin you will see the movie description and rating below the cover for the movie in VideoPhile.

It also works for Projet Free TV. In order to get Project Free TV working you will have to download this zip file and extract the folder from it and ftp the folder into the Scripts/.modules folder.

Yes it's very cool, metadata has been working on all the nightlies since buzz ported the new python base over. It's obviously not the quickest system in the world to load up metadata but it works and that's good enough for me

The difference in speed really isn't too drastic and it's well worth it in my books.

the skin and the addon since not nice for me and i find that not a big news!

the skin feels not fast and the grafic is from the 80.
the addon self is not fast but i think is one from the first addons from the developer and he can fix this with the next release the handling on the addon self is not so nice . as example he access a video with the name then the hoster as example youtube than give this a new directory with the name and the cover and then you can play this file and this by one hoster(youtube)
Yes i think the metahandler is nice but most (description , thumbs ) is adressable without the metahandler and this bring more speed on lighter systems.

I think it's not so important to look for working mainxbmc addons on a sytem what can never have the same codebase and accessabillity as the great brother mainxbmc and what is verry hardware linited.
important is that more user beginn the development from addons and scripts for xbmc this can bring on future faster on the limited hardware nice working addons.

Well, I am very happy with it and it's big news to me as I was told this was impossible on XBMC4xbox. As for the addon, I don't have too much of an issue with it and 90% of the movies seem to stream without issue.

Thanks snowdogged for sharing this addon, its pretty cool especially with all the different categories like cartoons and such and most of the links work too which is awesome, but i do agree with jan about speed, it takes a long time to load a dictionary, maybe this can be tweaked in the future by the dev to improve speed? And btw have you got a zip file for project free tv?

Yeah, VideoPhile is pretty cool with all the different sections. You can even go into the settings and enable the XXX section.

I installed videophile, but there is no icon. How would I install an icon for this plugin rather than just the default folder icon?
