I, and more the wife would like to know how can I stop xbmc adding movies into "collections"
In other words after I've scanned said film into a library, if it is a set of films they appear as a collection that requires an additional button press. It drives the wife bonkers as she sits pressing play and nothing happens not knowing she has to go further into the folder.
I know the pc xbmc has an option to disable this but does such an option exist or is it allready implemented and I'm missing it?
This is 3.33 build.
Thanks

Re: Quick Question About Movie "Collections"
I think they are also referred to as "movie sets".
Mainline XBMC has a setting in Settings > Videos > Library > Group movies in sets, I don't see XBMC4Xbox having it though - you can raise a ticket if you want (see Development tab at the top).

How did you get them together in the first place, did you scrape them from local NFOs or a particular scraper? Cause if the first one, you can read below how to get them as a "collection", and I guess you can alter the NFO, remove entry and scan back in to break the collection / movie set. And if second, go into the scraper settings (Set Content) to see if it's got a checkbox to disable the feature.

Alternatively, you can go into "Videos" section (which is more like "file view" for movies) instead of into "Movies" (which is the standard library view).

Re: Quick Question About Movie "Collections"
I think it's a scaper issue. I'm using themoviedb.com scaper.
The website puts certain movies into collections which mirrors xbmc4xbox.
I'll look at scapers and see if there is a flag I can change.

Re: Quick Question About Movie "Collections"
Hey everyone, I just joined this forum to say that (seemingly) after upgrading from xbmc4xbox 3.2.1 to version 3.3.3, i am now seeing this "Movie Sets" behavior. The aforementioned wiki page does not seem to mention which version xbmc4xbox started to incorporate this functionality.
My NFO files were created using Media Companion, and they do contain the <set></set> tags for certain movies, but truthfully I have been re-doing my library and its possible that there is something I did to introduce this behavior on my system.
Regardless if its my fault or not, the fact remains that there does not appear to be a way to disable it. I have checked both the library settings and the scraper settings, and not one single option is listed that would toggle this behavior.
Could a dev weigh in on this conversation?
Thanks
Edit: Actually I just found the option in Media Companion, and it appears to be the default. So I am leaning towards a behavioral change in xbmc4xbox.

Must be down to scraper changes and tmdb now correctly supporting sets (or some other fixes). anyway http://redmine.exotica.org.uk/issues/275
