Getting Windows 8.1 drivers for controller...
Getting Windows 8.1 drivers for controller...
I am assuming I need the drivers for this. Wired a controller to a USB. Plugged in. Recognized it and the memory card when inserted. Do I use the Action Replay software or something else?

If you want to copy game saves to the memory card then use xplorer360. Although I don't know if it will work on windows 8.1 it works fine in windows 7, whereas action replay does not.
If you want to use the controller as an input device then this explains how.
Hope that helps

Or you could download one of these Windows XP temporary virtual machines - I would recommend one for VMWare Player cause it allows you to forward the USB devices from the host to the client, that way you get to run the application from inside the VM on the same Windows 8.1 PC.

Or, you before going through all that, you could try right clicking the Xplorer360 .exe and choose to run Compatibility mode > Windows XP, might work that way.

Still no luck with the compatibility mode on XP. Probably going to use a different PC then go through all the Virtual Machine stuff..... Why can I not get the savegame files in AR. I should just put them in the Saves folder, right? I am trying to copy the MA exploit hack.... Three files and one folder with all the Linux files.

Is the memory card showing up under device manager? Is it formatted in FATX?
From what I remember Action Replay just plain doesn't work under anything later than XP.

Am I getting this right, you have stuff on your PC you want to put onto the memory card?. Can you not FTP it across to the Xbox and then put the memory stick in a controller plugged it the Xbox and using the MS dash transfer it onto the memory stick that is plugged into the controller?.
