Xbox bricked in attempt to change xbmc to dashboard - help

As the title says i bricked my xbox when i ftp'd the xbmc shortcut and .cfg file to the c drive. Is there any way that i can access the hard drive to delete the 2 files without wiping the drive and softmodding it again? (its an upgraded hdd) any help appreciated

Unlucky my friend, be more careful next time;) I think it would be much easier to softmod it again because it doesn't delete any of your previous files, it just re installs your dash, then you could probably make the shortcut again. You could try the ftp thing where when your xbox loads up hold the white button and y button and it should go into a recovery mode. But i dont think that will work for you. It's best to re-do the softmod

The recovery thing isnt working so im trying the softmod with endure through xboxhdm, hope it works

the master connection for the ide cable on my pc snapped off the wire when i was unplugging the hd, think im fairly screwed now

i never give up iv been working on it for 6 days, finally know the meaning of the saying "anything that can go wrong, WILL go wrong" but persistence has paid off finally, found another ide cable in the computer so was just a case of pluging it into the primary slot on the motherboard and reinstalling the dashboard with ndure, so its sorted now with all my stuff intact now just need to safely make xbmc my dashboard and ill be all set
